Try "D's" Haandi Biryani - located under the Defence Colony Flyover market. D's have branches as well in Delhi and neighbouring Malls. Though they sell normal biryani as well, but their Haandi Biryani is sumptuous, served with Chutney-onions and Raita. you want to eat the real Muglai Biryani go to KARIM in Jama Masjid. The owners of Karim claims that their ancestors were the cook of Mughals. The taste and flavour of Biryani is unforgettable. Try it.

"Midnight Biryani" at The Grand Kakatiya in Hyderabad is pretty amazing. The buffet menu in the coffee shop serves just - Veg, Chicken and Mutton biryani and gulab jamoon as dessert starting at midnight to 3.00am.

Don't try cooking in Leh(they freeze :-)) and get ready to fleece Ramesh of his Bank Balance. maya and ramesh are fun to be around ... they have a warm welcoming home and an easy relationship that is enviable... what is special is that they work each others interests into their lives...and believe me these are very diverse ... like chalk in cheese if that isn't too cheesey for this ?!!!the fact that they successfully weave these into their lives as a binding not breaking point is the magic... as a fond older sis i like to think its maya's ability to stich random bits of things together into a work of art ...of course ramesh's vague admission of it being art at all helps!!! ...the way i see it is he's fine as long as she isn't sticking needles in him!!! ... what they do have in common is biryani reason enough to cement a long lasting relationship and they haveenergy enough to drive to get it...fortunately ramesh knows enough about them cars and machines and stuff to get them where they are safely... i am certain they will be the most interesting couple on the road and wish them excitement and continued joy in the road ahead...love you guys..and remember wear the belts!!!
