Our Travelogue
Before sharing my experience i would request you to run through the photo stream displayed. This captures my rendezvous with the art of photography, lately discovered but always growing... Now talking about my experiences in travel.... It would not be believable if i say that me hailing from a middle class conservative family were cars & travel were considered to be a premium luxury ,have traveled to Simla, Kolkata, Jaipur , Ajantha & Ellora , Orissa , Delhi,Agra,Mumbai,Hyderbad,Madurai,Palani,Rameswram,Kanyakumari,Munnar,Coorg,& god knows how many temples & places in Tamilnadu & Kerala..But then that is the truth. You may ask me whether my family is into any travel business ,No, but then we are definitely into the business called travel . I still remember the days when my parents would not take me to a movie just because they wanted to save some money for there next trip. The spirit of traveling is one of the many good things which my DNA carried from my parents. When the 1st car came into the family i at an age of 18 did a trip from Calicut to Rameswram & back with my family were none of my family members knew driving & today after 9 years ,umpteen number of drives & having changed 5 cars i still get scolding from my mom for not allowing her to hire a driver for our 1st trip. It is sad that we never took care of writing all those experiences down in a blog or at least on paper and neither had i realized my taste towards photography during those days. I wish i could go back in time with an SLR just to capture those mesmerizing moments in life. That was my story till 3 years before, In 2006 i met my old school friend & then she slowly became my girl friend only to become my wife later in 2007 .I was more than happy to find that my wife & there parents carried the same interest in traveling if not more as we did. Her father being in armed forces they were introduced to various cultures & places in India at a very young age. Today after 2 years of marriage we are on our way to discover & re discover our country by visiting those places we have not visited earlier & re visiting the places we have already been to. But this time the difference being that we are making sure that our experiences are backed up properly for us to to be trodden and bottled into wine and kept for age to sip at ease beside the fire. be it in the form of travelogues or be it in the form of photographs. You can also have feel of our experiences or rather have a taste of our wine by visiting http://harish-mohan.blogspot.com/. you may not find great jugglery of words in our posts nor you would find great literature works in there but you can be sure of finding real experiences of our travels and the details of each and every trip we make. last but not the least i would like to quote Robert Louis Stevenson saying “For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.”
