Our Travelogue
We are travel junkies and we constantly need our fix! Together we have scaled the Himalayas numerous times all the way through to the ends of Himachal, Kashmir, Leh while stopping by at lesser known locales. Walking alongside Pangong Tso lake absorbing in the mosaic like hues of the water, Driving flatout through More Plains and chasing the twisties around Gata Loops. Leaving the Gypsy for a bit to Paraglide down the Solang Valley, sitting in the lone Tibeti Camp with a hot cup of tea and maggi with Subzero Winds moaning past us. Trying to live through the night in ice cold Army Bunkers and waving to cheering children on rooftops in the remotest of Mountain Villages... We have waded through the Deserts of Thar, evading the scorpions hiding in the cactii and camping on the sands. Camelback Rides and following the abandoned Railway tracks for miles and miles. Bearing the scorching sun and trying not to stall ourselves in the marshy riverbeds in greed of a shortcut. Getting the Royal treatment at the Fort Palaces with candelight rooftop dinners often interrupted by the sonic boom of Fighter Jets doing Mach Speed Sorties over the deserts at night. Shopping for precious stones in Jaipur and picking up worthless stones from Pokhran and wondering if we can carry some radioactivity back home.... We have Honeymooned in Switzerland a la Bollywood Style. Strolling down beautiful Hill Towns to find the train station, often with cascading waterfalls on our sides and scenic beauty enough to make us stop and dream, suddenly realising that oops we missed our train and waiting for the next one sitting on the bench with a cheese and ham sandwich in hand. Experimenting with swiss cheese, chocolates and wines, at roadside cafes and of course, at Hooters. The cable car rides to the mountain resorts and snowflakes greeting us all the way, caught unprepared in the harsh cold because we were too stylish to carry warm clothes... We have travelled the Orient through Southern China. Where people think that chicken and fish is vegetarian and it's impossible to find anything that doesn't have diced and fried portions of the animal kingdom. Basking in the cheapness when fake Louis Vuitton made my day and she manages to find a dozen clothes for petty change. Upside down in Roller Coasters and stomach churning Free Fall Rides in Hong Kong's Theme Parks. Admiring Sharks behind glass tanks and applauding for funny Sea Lions, Fireworks on a national holiday awestruck by Orchestrated Pyrotechnics. Then to Bangkok, where its nothing but shop shop and shop some more during the day and party party and party some more when night falls. Boat rides down the river, trying not tip over into the water when doing an adventurous pose for a photograph, saying hello to the sleeping Buddha and picking up little souveniers... On my own I have traversed the continental United States, with plenty of adventures alone and with friends, eating at the Windows of the World atop the WTC, Numerous attempts to get Jackpots in Atlantic City Casinos, Florida beaches during spring breaks, drives to Windy Chicago hunting for good Indian food, Sunny California's laidback towns to reunite with old friends. Zooming down German Autobahns in expensive Automobiles. Buckingham Palace Visits and Late nights in Desiclubs were highlights in UK. Gosh there is just wayyy too much to talk about when it comes to travelling and us! I thought i'd just mention a few places where we've been but could not resist sharing some of our experiences. We may not be the best bloggers or photographers out here, but we are simply enthusiasts. Who love to go out, have a good time, save fond memories, and await the next adventure. Life is too hectic sometimes to allow a dream vacation, but its just about time we head out on our next one. So what better opportunity than this! ;)
