Our Travelogue

The wildest trip that we have endured is a 2night – 3 day drive from Delhi to Bangalore in a Tata Safari. 500kms of no roads in MP was the highlight of the trip. Our first fling with wilderness was enduring a cold windy and rainy night in a tent wondering whether we will be washed down the mountain slope that we decided to halt for the night. Memories of soft, damp sand in Agatti beach (Lakshedweep) soothing the soles of our feet when crabs were randomly scurrying away in the deceptive moon beams has been etched firmly in our minds and so is the memory of the rare spotting of turtle laying eggs in the same beach. Sun-burning our skins in south Goan bike escapades to the beaches. Driving from Bangalore to Hampi to time travel into 14 Century AD at the ruins of Hampi. Driving to Coorg and deliberately drenching in the monsoon rains while strolling through coffee estates. Driving along the Maravanthe beach (near Mangalore) believing that a road runs through the sea. Hitting 170Kmph in our Cedia on the Coimbatore bye-pass enroute to Cochin-Kumarakom from Bangalore is the highest speed we have touched. Last but not the least was the 10 day expedition to Himalayas in Uttaranchal covering Rishikesh, Joshimath, Auli, Badrinath and Chopta You can read more about some of our travel tales on the blog http://highwaytravels.wordpress.com/
