Anyone going to Ladakh I will work for. As soon as I read that your trip ends in Leh I decided I must vote.Thank Ladakh for this vote. I was there in May '08 and the place itself, the vast expanses of cold desert, dry as it is (mostly), is beautiful with its sparse fauna that turns a brilliant green in the summer, spotted with ponds and lakes one might see in cartoons - calm, serene and in shades of colour you will never know existed, streams as clear as the clean crisp air wind their way down the hills, rivers that are a contrasting muddy beige flow fast in the valleys, the sharp, sometimes piercing, burning sun glistening off the bright untouched very white snow, blinding and beautiful. This exquisite sight interspersed with friendly smiles and happy pink chapped faces makes for an experience of lifetime...
