We are two individuals, who love exploring, driving, clicking crazy pictures and making heads turn within a range of 100 meters with our laugh-out-loud jokes ...That's Dhruv and Mamta for you! Dhruv is a student of law and a major automobile fanatic while Mamta is a student of human resources and together are a part of the vibrant, enthusiastic youth of Delhi, thriving with spontaneity and a positive attitude in life. Where Mamta follows her clear funda in life " tension lene ka nahi, dene ka", Dhruv on the contrary is a practical soul who usually "got to see it to believe it".

We are the best candidates because...

We know we have got what is required for The Great Driving Challenge...and we are sure of it because its our passion we are talking about and not something we would 'just like to do'. Both of us, coming from defence backgrounds have grown up exploring new places and cultures. Places like Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Leh-Ladakh, Rajasthan, Himachal, Kochi and Goa are already on our list of experiences as we are currently endeavoring greed for more. We both are driving fanatics and had always dreamt of an opportunity like this. Where Mamta blackmails everyone into test driving their newly-owned cars, Dhruv has taken it more professionally and reviews new cars as a freelancer. A road trip to our chosen destination...feeling the breeze as it hits our grinning faces and telling our story via blogs and pictures is the best thing that can happen to us and we plan to be the best if you believe in our zeal and vote for us...regards - Mamta and Dhruv

Our Travel Plan

Now that we both have got all excited about TGDC, we have a clear picture as to what we want from this trip. Like any ardent traveler, we plan to have variety during our trip so that we can explore the most within our limits. Our mission- as we would like to call it ;) is to shift from borders of Maharashtra, Gujrat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and come back. We have planned our route keeping the day's drive limit in mind and so we plan to cover approximately 3600kms in 12 days! In all, enjoying the greenry of Forests, sand dunes of Deserts, mist and waterfalls of Hills and clear blue waters of Coasts as we cross by (Check out the Map). Biologically programmed to learn via experiences, mistakes and lessons, we plan to understand the places under our radar, life of local people and their culture. As Dhruv says, " You gotta see it, to believe it..." and so do I ;)- Mamta

Our Travelogue

Our driving experiences have been varied, whether covering the State highways through the Himachal terrain in an 800cc car or cruising down the freeways of America in a V10, Dodge Viper. I've had my share of overseas driving, with Halifax - Toronto (1800 km) on my list.. That was one interesting road-trip, 14 hours at a stretch! The latest trip was a couple of days ago, Delhi - Lansdowne - Rishikesh.. Right after a Himachal tour. So we've covered Uttarakhand, Himachal, Punjab, Kashmir & even Rajasthan, with Delhi - Jaisalmer on my list. Looking forward to this road-trip in a Mitsubishi Cedia!

For those who don't know about Mamta: Well she is a carefree, hyper, enthusiastic, fun-loving and a daring soul. and Dhruv is equally fun-loving. All I'll say is that Dhruv is one HELLOFADRIVER! Can trust him blindly. I've seen him do 0 to 60 in 3.9 :D :P He taught me to love cars and treat them like babies...Give him a muscle car and he'll be a better driver than Vin Diesel in his Mazda/Dodge Charger or Walker in his turbocharged Subarus.All the best to you guys!Mamta and you form a great team!
