We both are in Software IT services industry and maried for more than 5 years and love to go on long drives. Driving is a pleasure for both of us as I love driving and my better half loves to take navigator's seat and helping me with the driving directions. We make sure not to plan for destination on our weekend getaway trips

We are the best candidates because...

We believe we compliment each other on any getaway. Bhavna is good at navigation, finding directions, suggesting detours for adventure and putting brakes on my speen whenever required. I do follow the instrcution of my better half and eventually drove on I thing all the routes. e.g. Deserts of Rajasthan, Hills of Himalyas, Interstate expressways & contry sides of America.

Our Travel Plan

Our plan for the great driving challenge is to drive through from New Delhi to the valley Ladhak (LEH) via Shimla, Kuku, Manali then to Srinagar to Jammu to Amritsar and back tto New Delhi . Our Travelogue

Our real driving adventure started in 2004 when we moved to US for some time and trips we made were Distance of around 1200 Miles from Chicago to Mount Rushmore and that was coverd in one night only over the weekend. Travel from Chicago to Cleveland to New York to New Jersy to Atlantic City to Pittsburg to Buffalo (Niagra Falls) and back to Chicago Travelling through the snow filled express ways from Chicago to Detroit on slipery roads From 2006 onwards we started our adventure in India and the trips we made were The desert safari started from New Delhi to Rewari to Narnaul to Jhunjunu (RJ) to Churu to Naraingarh to Salasar and back The hills drive include trips to Shimla, Kullu Manali and Dharamshala from New Delhi and Chandigarh

Both make a great couple and love to drive their own car for any getaway even if its a hectic drive. So I really this challenge is just another getaway for them

Know the couple for around five years, Akhil never like site on the seat other than driver's one even if he is too much exhusted. He has the stemina and desire to drive.. Bhavna helped him in direction, but that was possible in US only... Normally we all keep on sleeping easily and Akhil keeps on driving on the trips... So Best of Luck for this one also
