Well, to introduce ourselves, Kedar ‘s the 'Driver-unlimited' and Shama’s the ' Navigator/ Co-Pilot/ DJ/ Chef/ Accountant and finally our walking talking GPS'. Our vacations mostly begin and end with our CAR, our second home. We usually reach our intended destination and never get lost, HOWEVER where we want to go and how we reach there may change every now and then. We love the outdoors and can’t see how people can stay indoors over the weekends. OUR weekend address reads Shama & Kedar Deo, Flying /Camping/Trekking/Cycling, Mountain / Lake/ Fort, Next to: nowhere near the city, Ph: Out of coverage Area. Kedar’s an Architect and an Interior Designer and his company takes on “Turn Key “ projects for Corporate Houses and Private Residences. Kedar’s a Paragliding Pilot and often takes Shama and other friends for Tandem Flights. Shama’s been a Nutritionist and an Aerobics Instructor and currently helping Kedar in the business. Shama loves her Bicycle and they have been pretty much inseparable on our recent trips.

Our Travel Plan

We would love to take a route that we haven't done before & has been luring us for some time now. Yes! we are going to Madhya Pradesh, Hindustan ka Dil! Am sure its going to be one heck of an adventure going through amazing landscapes, thick forests, waterfalls, old relics, palaces, stupas, forts, the Narmada, wildlife sanctuaries....in this magical land.....You're ALL going to LOVE it!!

Our Travelogue

Road trips have been a major part of our lives. It all started for us as a couple with our honeymoon. Intending to go to SriLanka we decided to drive from Pune up to Trivanantapuram and fly further to Colombo, however at Tiruvanantpuram images of the falling Twin Towers made us change our route and we found ourselves circumventing Kanyakumari and deciding to come up along the East Coast. Since then, we have made various road trips in India and on foreign shores, some of which were in Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands and Austria. The latest, in April, being a trip to Coorg via Dandeli Jungles further to Auroville via Mysore. On the way back we stayed at Yelagiri where Kedar did some memorable flying. What comes to mind as most memorable would be a 21 days, 7000km drive from Pune to LEH via Manali and back via Srinagar to Pune. It is an adventure we would recommend to every Indian worth his salt. The sheer expanse of our country, the changing cultures, changing skies, skylines, roads, altitudes, attitudes, values, are INCREDIBLE and makes us proud to be an Indian. Some of these trips - from Pune to Munnar, to Kolkata via Nagpur, Ranchi and back down along the East Coast via Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, innumerable visits to Panchgani (for Paragliding), Goa (for the sun n sand) , Bhopal, Panchmarhi...... we relive through the GPS routes we track and others with several hundred photographs that are indispensable. Given an opportunity you will see many photographs and may even be able track the route, real time as we drive through our intended route.

Keadar by profession is an interior dezigener having sites all over India I he drives to his sites in his safari all ove ie Kolkata , Bhopal , Chennai. I was with him for our Leh Ladak trip througout the entire journey 0f 3500 odd km he was on yhe drivers seat.Pondy and munnar are his favorite places he just drives to have a break. It is a known fact that on any weekend it is nearly impossible to get a hold of either of them because they are busy chasing clouds. They are true adventurers having traveled more miles across 2 continents, than anyone I have ever known. They love nature, adventure and the wild outdoors. They are a great team and love new experiences and meeting people. They have friends in all parts of the world. And they are just bursting to the gills with enthusiasm. kedar accompanied as baby of tree years and played in the sands of penninsuler at kanyakumari aproched from pona from eastern sea board, andwestern seabord road along arebian sea ane bay of bangal too, with we parents he accompanied us during vacation our sole fafimly treak thrice to kolu manali Rohatang pass in the schooling vacations. chandiharh calautta road across himalayan foot hills an the treak to andaman car Nikobar Islands and back nearly 13000 kms sole family treak. this trip was our family car treak of five ' aaaaaaaaaaaaaaakedar and Shama are greaanticipatory safe and observed to have very carful drivers When on wheel on their Safarithey are tuned to machine and mechnisum,then every machine and the couply is compurised. He inherite love fo nature well calculatd Adventure brings risk factors toalmost zeo . Shama - Kedar and the roads are made for each other. Kedar is an extremely skillful driver while you can never find a better navigator than Shama. Be it the ghats of Maharashtra, the valley of J&K, the terrain in West Bengal or the plains of the South, driving is a way of life for the couple. They are one of the most adventurous couples you would come across with the passion and fire in the belly to explore the unknown. It is because of these qualities that this event means so much to them. They love driving and spend most part of their holiday in a four wheeler. We don't remember the last time Kedar or Shama have travelled by train or public transport be it going to Ladakh, Kolkata, Pondicherry, Kerala, Bhopal or Goa from Pune, it has to be by "Road".
