We have not traveled together, but we have traveled separately to various destinations in India. I have been to Matheran, Goa, Mount Abu, Lonavala and Mahableshwar. Though I have not traveled extensively but I wish to explore every nook and corner of India. I would love to go into the interiors and explore the untouched places. Of all the places that I have traveled, my favorite destination is Matheran. The air in Matheran is so pure and fresh that you can instantly feel a zing in your breath. I call it heaven on earth, because it truly is mesmerizing. The strong breeze, the light showers and the thick fog make for a perfect romantic destination. Matheran is a “no pollution” hill station, so no vehicles are allowed beyond a certain limit. The journey up the hill is so enchanting that you tend to forget about the destination. Well, I can go on and on about Matheran, indeed I am thankful to the government for preserving this hill station and saving it from pollution. There is a lot more that I would like to share about this beautiful place but I have to leave some space for Jiju to share his experience. Over to you - Jiju. Well, travel for me is like a musical journey. The song that best describes my love for travel is “Hum jo chalne lage, chalne lage hai yeh raaste, ab toh manzil se behtar lagne lage hai yeh raaste”. The song says it all, when you tread on such serene roads life changes its meaning. The chirping of birds is like music to ears. Well, coming back to my travelogue, I am in love with Manali, it is not only the snow-capped virgin mountains and the scenic beauties that make it so special, the people too are beautiful. Their simplicity has a distinct charm. We are suckers for nature and simply love the raw beauty.
