Apnesh(or just APPY :P ) and I study in Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology,Dwarka,New Delhi.Apnesh is pursuing her B.Tech degree from the 'Manufacturing Process and Automation' branch and I am doing the same from 'Electronics' branch. We became friends even before Appy came as my junior in the college. After then, from some cause or the other, we got to get more and more needful interaction with each other. We have worked together in many fields; the most attaching was the time with the Solar Car project of our college. We have great chemistry as friends…have got lots of things in common, we work almost in the same manner, we both respect feelings and relations equally, and even we both have got the same sense of humor …lolz, and the list is endless… Apart from work things, we both help each other out in whatever situation it is. It feels strange sometimes.. Our friendship and belief on each other is out of any cause or reason. We talk to each other on issues varying from nonsense to ultimate techies and that too without any discomfort or hesitation. It doesn’t occur with everyone I meet across, but with Appy, I never have to think even twice. And that’s the reason we chose each other for this great challenge with no second thought Cheers :)

:: arj! lets go to kerala! I feel like kerala today!:: ::shit! really? I was gonna call abt auli!:: :: auli? naa. lets do bhimtal!:: Most best laid plans never ever work out! And Arjun & I are testaments to this!! :D The number of times we have planned / contemplated / designed / dreamt of a holiday bang in middle of a loaded work day, stopped being funny – esp. with our bosses!! Arjun & I have been batch mates in MICA - which is a good 4 yrs or so that we know each other - but, it’s very recent that we have become great frnds (or so we wld like to believe! I’m sure arj will have a million things to bitch of rite now!) ALL we have in common is our love for travel. And Food! And of course, our impulsiveness! :) I work with Radio Mirchi as a programming head – which means my job sounds like a lotta fun per say and Arjun’s a brand mgr for Qua– but neither quenches our thirst for adventure or the constant itch we seem to harbor for traveling arnd, discovering places and of course, going mad wid grand plans - for travel, love, life! :D I am a wee bit cuckoo in the head when it comes to antique bikes and willys jeeps - gimme an Enfield any day and a perfect date would be a biking trip to the end of this world - with me riding it of course! :D And did I mention that I had a car for the last 2 yrs but learnt how to drive (and I LOVE it now!) some 3 mnths ago?!!!!! My Zen (I think it’s really old. I mean reallly!) is my salvation and having grown up surrounded by speed junkies; I'm pushing my limit with it! All the time! Coming to work was never this fun - even thou I did adore convos' wid autodrivers and reading aloud most billboards in a telecast manner. oh. I am letting u on to my weirdness...damn. But hey! arj's even worse! Yay! Arj is typically boy - with his love for collecting comics / techno music (loud. eee) and super fast cars (sigh). - You can see How we "realllly really do get along" :D :D did I tell you he managed to get caught by the traffic police TWICE the same night?!?!?! For different reasons (funny ones @ that! You’ve to ask him abt this!)... But TWICE??? You wld think he wld get smarter... but NO SIR, can’t survive being smart all the time eh!? (I know he can read this. but wht the heck!) :D But like I said before - say Travel (esp. one that reeks of cross country travel!!) - and you'll find us both right ahead with wide grins and bickering loudly about where to head towards first! We are hoping that we get to do this challenge - sounds mighty fun and it might also make us a wee bit more tolerant - of ourselves first! :))

We are Anurag & Ranjana. We both were born in Lucknow but I (Ranjana) was brought up in Varanasi. Anurag is a software engineer with Oracle, Bangalore while I (Ranjana) am a research scholar (History) with BHU, Varanasi. We got married last year in Nov after our parents made us meet (the rest was easy). Anurag has traveled a lot more but I too have been around quite a few places in India with my family. We both like to travel and try out new cuisines. Anurag was into stamina sports like long distance cycling, running and squash...and he occasionally does take part in half-marathons etc. And me...well, I am a bit easy going and like TV, drawing, painting and reading. He writes pretty well. In fact, he was writing a novel I am told, but I am not going to read it until he finishes it ;-) We have recently settled down in Bangalore and I am working towards the end of my thesis on medieval Indian History. And yes, we fight only on Sundays :D

Together we epitomize the anguish of those who are caught in the concrete jungle the world over, but whose heart lies in the mountains, beaches, sanddunes, forests, who love to let their hair down and dance in the rain, whose hearts skip a beat when they travel to these unexplored places and those who are curious about the stories these places hide in thier bosom. In this endeavour and in spirit, we are supported by Ankur, Pande, Sawan, Anubhav, Ravi, Kumar, Sulabh, Hitesh, Manotosh, Vatsal, Singh, Joy, Kedia, Rachna, Anubha and Pooja all of our office mates who commute daily to the office, survive the serpentine traffice jams through the crumbling infrastructure of our cities, are scrutinized everyday by the numerous security checks, working on the daily doze of coffee and ciggarettes while at the terminal (the name says it all). This might just be the trip that we were yearning for. This might just spell a getaway from the mess that our cities are. Less noice and more music, less traffic and more distances, less control and more freedom, that is what this trip is all about. Helloz.... we are Anupama a.k.a PAM and Aditya a.k.a. ADI... Me a fashion Technologist and he a graphic interiors spacialist. Why did we decide to pair up for this even you might ask!!.. For 2 simple reasons 1) He loooves to drive and 2) I looove to go click ...click.. and the 3rd most imp reason is "WE LOVE TO TRAVEL" As fate would have had it we met around 2 yrs ago being members of the same trekking group in mumbai. Already we have travelled together and done a few bike trips and various treks, but such a long trip is yet to come. We both have different passions and yet are very alike. Both crazy for adventure. Adi is mad about cars and bikes and has owned 11 cars ever since he got his driving license, and also various sports bikes. And me... well... im still driving my 1st car :).... Adi has participated in various biking and car racing events and also has the official racing license. And till date he is the best biker i know and hats of to his driving skills. I am a pretty decent driver myself:)

We're a 'would be couple' from Delhi looking forward to tying the nuptial knot by the end of this year. I've recently completed my MBA after working for about 6 years post-Engineering and am currently on the lookout for a job and Kavita works as a freelance designer for fashion and textiles. She has currently decided that the place chosen to complete this write-up isn't really most suited for the same. Wonder whether it's the proximity to India gate or the 200 or so birds that surround the car (feeding off of some Indian snacks that an elderly uncle just threw for them) or even the music and acoustics offered by the interiors of this 15 year old Maruti! Only moving from the earlier spot and parking the car again (now facing India Gate, 4 dustbins in view, a riot control vehicle in the background and an oldie doing his early morning stretches) convinces her.

I am an automotive stylist while my better half is a graphic designer who has ventured out with her own studio setup. Coming from a family that was moving places since my father was in a transferable job I have never been attached to a particular city but identify myself with all the many places I have lived and been educated at. Be it Baroda, Delhi or Digboi. Even now my family lives in different parts of the world! I guess that is where the craving to move around and travel comes from. My wife is more attached to Delhi since she has done her schooling and has her family there. Culturally she is routed to Jaisalmer in Rajasthan as she has her roots there. She loves to explore and document the culture curry that India has plenty to offer in her own graphic style, sometimes with illustrations and photographs. My wife often teases me saying that she wishes she'd rather be a car! And I am always amazed with her culture driven illustrations.
