Our Travel Plan

We want to head out on a journey to discover Saat-tal, a group of seven lakes in the mountains of Uttranchal. Saat-tal is situated at a height of 4,300 ft. It is located at a distance of 295 kms from Delhi. the lakes in Saat-taal are named after the characters from the Ramayana; Ram-taal , Laxman-taal, Sita-taal, Garud-taal, Hanuman-taal, Bhiyun-taal and Sukha-taal. Interestingly these lakes are interconnected. Capturing the mystical aura we would like to gain a different perspective on the place which is filled with myths and legends. These myths and legends gives place a mystical aura. The serenity and subservient calm prevailing is said to be overwhelming. Driving from Mumbai, we want to map our journey with images from interiors of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and our capital Delhi before arriving into the beautiful Kumaon region. The journey from Mumbai to Saat tal would be approximately 1700 kilometers of highway roads, mountain regions, jungles and delicious lunches in dhabas along the way! The smaller towns and villages along the way will be our milestones of capturing the hearts and imagination of the real people in India.
