‘ A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step’ – Lao Tzu For Sai and me, it began with a Canon 400D. Sai was born into a life of traveling from city to city since his father was in the army. And hes been to some of the most fascinating cities in India be it in Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala or Rajasthan. But that changed once he entered architectural college and work thereafter. Me, I’ve lived all my school years in Saudi Arabia where my parents still are and our annual vacations to India always included a short trip to some wonderful place that all of us used to eagerly look forward to. When we met 5 years ago, Sai was a super workaholic!! Our dates used to be site visits and client meeting!! Nonetheless, I madly feel in love and its been the bestest decision of my life so far!! :-) Both of us are architects and we work together. I automatically became ‘partner’ when I married my boss 3 and half years ago :-) . The first 2 years of marriage was amazing but we were too caught up with our work and business to take off at our hearts whim. That’s when the Canon 400D happened and we’ve not looked back ever since. And what a journey its been!! Bitten by the shutterbug and the travelbug and at the same time!! Friends keep asking us how we manage to work, live and do almost everything together but for us it’s the most natural thing in the world!! We’re the exact opposite of each other – I’m the extrovert, the outdoorsy, party person and Sai the introverted, quiet thinker!! But at the same time, we are so similar too – our love for our sons Max and cocoa (a year old boxer and 1.5 years old Lab), we love to travel and take off whenever possible (largely helped by the fact that we have our own campany!!), we read voraciously and can spend hours in a bookstore, we’re avid photographers and traveled the length and breadth (well, almost :-) ) of the country last year taking 100s of 1000s of photos and the best thing about us, we can spend the whole day together doing absolutely nothing but feel totally awesome and fully refreshed at the end of it!!

There was a guy who used to drive like a complete idiot on road whose only apparent aim was to overtake others as if the present drive was the last drive of his life .. who used to derive some inexplicable satisfaction on making lesser mortals bite the dust .. who has till date not understood why people drive slow on roads .. who used to #$%^# people who did not gave way promptly .. who used to honk 120 times / minute ... There was a gal who was so soft and delicate that she never crossed 50 kmph speed barrier in her life .. who used to follow road discipline .. stop at red lights and slow down at speed breakers .. give turn indication for turning .. courteously give way to others .. never honked etc etc.. The two happened to meet on internet and by some mysterious force of nature got married .. and till date both are trying to figure out as to why the other has not changed ..
