Hi Masuma & Huzaifa from 'Amchi Mumbai'. I met my wife online, on a chat site some 10 yrs back (Paltalk.com). We started chatting.. & one fine day (almost after a year and a half) I asked her out for a date, which she flatly refused.. that is when I came to knw she was from Dubai... Cut 2 -- My parents reached her house with our marriage proposal and we got married in Mumbai on 19th May 2002. Currently I am working with the Royal Bank of Scotland in Mumbai as IT Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager, at the same time my beloved manages our house, family and parents & of course me..... Driving has been my passion.. It was just that one first session the driving instructor took for my mom which stayed in my mind... At home I visualized what ever the instructor said…. A couple of days from then and my parents went out of town for a few days. I bribed my brother to drive the moped and I took the car…. Surely when they were back they managed to know what we had done during the weekend. However I had to wait for around 4 yrs when I would turn 18 to officially get a license to drive.

Hello people, we are Alifiya Bootwala and Husain Sapatwala. We know each other since Jan 19th of this very year. Being introduced to each other by a matchmaker we were an instant hit. although very different people in many aspects of life and thinking there was a special bond and enough common grounds which just forced both of us to agree to our coming together, one of which was the unrealised dream of travelling far and wide. We were engaged to be married on the 10th day of meeting for the very first time. Alifiya is a senior personnel at a recruitment agency named Thinkpeople whereas I, Husain, run a printing press. Both of us are people who love the outdoors and long drives. But throughout our lives there have always been reasons where we could not do what we've always wanted to, travel through a country especially by road and knowing people and cultures. We are going to get married in November and feel this is an incredible oppurtunity for us to do something that we have always wanted to before beginning a new life full of responsibilities, to know each other very well, before we take the final plunge, while living our dream. Together we have travelled on bike from Delhi to Ladakh, almost seen entire Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, much of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa. I am a Government employee, a published writer and photographer specializing in fine art and abstract photography. My wife is a graphics designer and Animation specialist, Writer and a photographer. We opened a children's library in Leh last year as a part of our endeavour to do something about bringing education to far flung corners of India. For this trip, "WE ARE GAME"!

Last year I had gone on a trek to Hemkund Sagar, scaling a height of 15000 feet above sea level, traversing a distance of 26 kms in the span of 2 days in my humble effort to conquer the daunting Himalayan range. On a daily basis, I keep the action in my life alive by sweating out at the gym coupled with a weekly game or two of my two favorite sports cricket and tennis. I love to capture the immense beauty of nature through my camera’s lens.. U can have a peek at my amateur tinkering at my flicker link. My wife, Ankur Priyanka Batra, works as a Category manager with Reliance Retail at Mumbai. She holds a Black Belt in Taekwon-do Martial art.. (I know u guys must b thinking that Im crazy to mess around a girl like that :P). She has also played Basketball & Netball at national level. My sweetheart shares my love for traveling and has explored a diverse set of Indian locales like Shillong, Udaipur, Haridwar, Pondicherry, Varanasi, Kolkata, Bodhgaya, Nalanda, Kota, Boondi, Cherrapunji, Jaipur, Lucknow, Shimla, Mussorie among others. We met 2.5 yrs ago in Chennai while doing are MBA and undoubtedly our courtship period is the most adventurous episode of our lives. The most memorable moments for us are the long drives across the East Coast Road in Chennai, hunting for the most romantic spots, the most secluded beaches under the starry nights with Elvis Presley crooning in the car’s FM radio in the background.. (This is when we were supposed to be working on a ppt or case study for next morn.. of course our group mates cursed us :P) Eventually, we tied the knot on 1st of July 2009 and this trip has come up as the perfect honeymoon for adventure freaks like the two of us… God Bless!!

I, Mrinalini, hope to be joining my father, Hemant Tiwari, on another of those long (suffixed with distance, not drawn) road journeys that we embark on at least twice every year. I can say I have seen it all – from a Premier Padmini, to a Maruti 800, an Opel Astra and now to a Ford Endeavour. I can hardly wait to start off with my dad behind the wheels of the impressive Mitsubishi Cedia. My father is a veteran IT professional and has driven extensively, especially with my mother, for the last 33 years on various terrain -- the hills of Darjeeling and Sikkim, Uttarachal & Himanchal Pradesh, Vindhya and satpura ranges to Nilgiris not to miss the most beautiful Western Ghats during mansoons, the length and breadth of India and the coastlins of east, west & south, and the contrastingly disciplined streets of Malaysia,Singapore, Australia, parts of Europe and US.The only states that we have not driven on is Arunachal, Tripura & Nagaland, J&K.and the desert of Rajasthan (even though he has driven on the deserts of Gulf). In fact, for the last decade or so, either our Astra or the Endeavour has been the main mode of transport when we travel. We as a family are always ready to take to the road at the drop of a hat. On numerous occasions, we’ve even camped the night in our car while driving from Mumbai to Ooty where we three siblings studied. Now, over to me-- I am proud to be associated with the tinsel town. I am an actor and have been an assistant director. I also paint and sculpt, in spare time. As a child I’ve been exposed to a lot of traveling all over India with my parents. My dad is extremely passionate about driving and something that I’ve inherited too. With us, the daughter-father duo, you can expect the level-headed side of experience and the daredevil side of youth!
