Heritage stay in a historical city
Posted By thecouple
Over the last four years, most of our travels across Maharashtra had one thing in common - stay at MTDC resorts. We have become a fan of MTDC. So when we landed in Mysore, someone from the camera crew mentioned about KSTDC’s Mayura Hoysala, and we decided to try it out.
Mayura Hoysala was a palace (Maharaja’s guest house) before it got converted into hotel in 1971. After 85 years, the building even now retains a charm and royal look.
The facilities are basic. One major inconvenience is that there is no room service, except for tea/coffee. Restaurant serves reasonably good food, the highlight being boiled vegetables - a respite from the masala-rich food.

Any shots of Vrindavan Garden? Mysore palace? Chamundi hills?
Those were some nice places to visit.
